MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS IX D SMP NEGERI 1 NANGA PINOH DALAM MELAKUKAN OPERASI BANGUN RUANG SISI LENGKUNG DENGAN METODE SIMULASI

Abstract: This research is to find the mathematic increasingly student’s learning which involved the ninth grade D in SMP N 1 Nanga Pinoh especially, to build a curved side room, simulation method. The number of student is 33. Researcher to find action research did two cycles. Result of this research for the cycle I to cycle II shows that the result is increasingly with significant.  they are: the result of the cycle I to cycle II shows that(1) the student’s ability in a group mathematic to build a curved side room is increase early 58, 72 % become 66,67% for the cycle I and then 90,91% for the cycle II. (2) In average student’s ability for mathematic group the ninth grade D’ is 24,24%. It means that is shows that the cycle I to cycle II is increase.

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas IX D SMP Negeri 1 Nanga Pinoh pada pelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi operasi bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan metode simulasi, dengan subyek siswa berjumlah 33 orang. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut peneliti melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian siklus I terhadap siklus II menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan, sebagai berikut,(1) kemampuan matematika siswa secara kelompok pada proses pembelajaran matematika khususnya pada materi operasi bangun ruang sisi lengkung meningkat dari 58,72% pada kondisi awal menjadi 66,67% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 90,91% pada siklus II.(2) terjadi peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan matematika siswa secara kelompok sebesar 24,24% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Ini berarti dari kategori baik pada siklus I meningkat menjadi kategori sangat baik pada siklus II.
