Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of science education as a solution in fostering clean and healthy living habits (PHBS) among elementary madrasah students. The method used is a literature review, examining various scientific sources such as journals, books, and relevant research findings from 2021 to 2026. The findings indicate that science education holds strategic potential in shaping healthy lifestyle behaviors due to its contextual and experience-based nature. However, a gap remains between conceptual understanding and its application in students’ daily lives. Therefore, educational innovations are needed through practice-based approaches and simple experiments, the integration of health values into daily activities, and the use of interactive learning media. Furthermore, the success of fostering healthy living habits is significantly influenced by collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents in creating a supportive environment. Thus, science education serves not only as a means of knowledge transfer but also as a medium for the continuous development of students’ character and healthy living habits.
